Linus Ullmark stopped 31 shots for Boston.

Hall deflected Patrice Bergeron's shot from the high slot on a power play at 8:37 of the first period for his third goal of the season. Marchand also earned an assist. Jake Muzzin was serving a delay-of-game penalty.

Tavares knocked the puck into the net at 12:21 of the first after Marner's shot from the low slot. Rielly also earned an assist. The net was knocked off its moorings, but the ruling was that a Bruin caused it.

Ullmark made a good save when Tavares broke in alone at 10:33 of the second period.

Toronto took the lead at 14:59 of the second on a power-play goal by Matthews, who flipped in his own rebound after taking a pass from Marner. Matt Grzelcyk was off for high-sticking.

Matthews scored his fifth goal of the season on a power play at 18:54 of the second on a one-timer from the right circle after accepting Rielly's pass. Marchand was off for high-sticking.

Tavares scored his sixth goal this season at 2:53 of the third, knocking in a rebound from William Nylander's shot. Tavares had finished serving a hooking penalty 21 seconds earlier.

Pastrnak scored his third goal of the season from the left circle on a pass from Marchand at 8:29 of the third.

Erik Haula had his shot go off Campbell and the outer part of the goal post at 14:10 of the third.

Boston failed to score on a power play after Michael Bunting was called for tripping at 15:48.
