No. 3 Michigan 76, No. 10 Ohio State 74 (OT): Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half and sealed the game with a late block in the extra period as the host Wolverines avenged an earlier loss to the Buckeyes.
Hardaway drilled a career-high six 3-pointers to lead a season-best 14-for-24 effort beyond the arc for Michigan (21-2, 8-2 Big Ten), which avenged a Jan. 13 road loss against Ohio State.
Trey Burke hit a 3-pointer as the shot clock expired to begin overtime, but neither team scored again until Aaron Craft converted a layup with 57 seconds remaining. Craft stripped Burke on the next possession, but Burke answered with a block on Craft’s short jumper with nine seconds left.
Glenn Robinson III gathered the loose ball and hit the first of two foul shots to give the Wolverines a 76-74 lead. Craft drove the length of the court for the game-tying layup, but Hardaway turned him away as the buzzer sounded.
Deshaun Thomas finished with 17 points and LaQuinton Ross added 16 for Ohio State (17-5, 7-3).
