STANFORD 59, SOUTHERN CAL 47: Chasson Randle scored 16 points, including four three-pointers, and visiting Stanford pulled away in the second half to slow its recent slide down the Pac-12 standings.
Stanford (17-8, 7-6 Pac-12) led 35-33 with 11:25 remaining before going on an 11-0 run over the next four minutes. The win snapped a 13-game road losing streak to the Los Angeles schools, dating back to the 2004-05 season.
Greg Allen and Byron Wesley scored 13 points apiece for last-place Southern California (6-20, 1-12 Pac-12), which has lost 13 of its last 14 games. The Trojans committed 19 turnovers and were outrebounded 44-18.
Down to six scholarship players, Southern California shot 15-of-48 (31.3 percent) from the field, and Maurice Jones was just two-of-14 shooting for 10 points.
Josh Owens added 15 points and five rebounds for Stanford, which won for the second time in its last seven games. After shooting 37.3 percent from the field in its previous six games, the Cardinal were 22-of-49 (44.5 percent) against the Trojans.
