Adrian Thomas scored all 18 of his points from 3-point range, leading a long-distance barrage as Miami (Fla.) pulled away for a 78-58 victory at North Carolina-Greensboro Tuesday night.

Thomas was 6 of 10 from beyond the arc to lead the Hurricanes (16-10), who hit 12-of-24 3-point attempts as a team. UNC-Greensboro, meanwhile, made only 3 of 20 from long range.

Leading 35-28 at the end of a tight first half, Miami broke the game open with a 13-2 burst that made it 51-35 with 13:39 remaining. The Spartans (5-20) got no closer than 13 the rest of the way.

Garrius Adams and Malcolm Grant added 16 points each for the Hurricanes, while Durand Scott added 12 and 12 rebounds. Kyle Randall and Aloysius Henry scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, for UNC-Greensboro.
