Trail Blazers 98, Thunder 94: LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and 14 rebounds and Damian Lillard finished with 21 points and a season-high 11 assists as visiting Portland rallied for a big road win.
Portland finished the game on a 25-10 run to snap its first losing streak of the season at two games and send the Thunder to just their second loss in 16 games at home. Nicolas Batum scored all 15 of his points in the second half, including a late 3-pointer that put the Trail Blazers - who have defeated Oklahoma City twice in December - ahead to stay.
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 37 points and 14 rebounds but scored just one point in the fourth quarter, when the hosts were outscored 27-16. Serge Ibaka chipped in 17 points and Reggie Jackson finished with 12 as Oklahoma City fell to 2-1 since All-Star guard Russell Westbrook was sidelined with knee surgery.
Durant had six points in a 12-0 run before halftime that helped the Thunder cruise into the locker room up 54-42. Lillard drained two 3-pointers inside of a minute in the third to pull Portland within 68-61 and Aldridge scored six points to spark a 14-2 burst that put the Blazers up 87-86 with four minutes left.
It remained a one-point game with 10.8 seconds left when Portland guard Mo Williams missed two free throws, but Aldridge wrestled for the offensive rebound and Wesley Matthews (16 points) was good on two from the line with 9.2 to go to make it 96-93. Durant hit 1-of-2 free throws with 8.2 ticks remaining and then missed a potential tying jumper before Lillard's free throws iced it.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland had just six turnovers, only two after halftime. ... Oklahoma City, which entered ranked second to the Blazers in free-throw shooting, missed four from the line in the final 2:33. ... Durant has scored over 30 points an NBA-high 16 times.
