Curry’s third 3-pointer of the first six minutes gave the Warriors a quick 17-8 lead midway through the first quarter before Utah cut it to 23-21 at the end of the period. The Jazz ended the half on a 13-3 run to take a 48-41 lead into the break.
Utah led by as much as nine points early in the third quarter but Curry would not let the gap get too large. The All-Star scored seven straight points for Golden State to cut it back to 63-61 before the Jazz took advantage of the Warriors bench to make the cushion 71-66 heading to the fourth.
