Warriors 103, Trail Blazers 88: Stephen Curry collected 38 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as Golden State snapped out of a funk by taking down visiting Portland.

David Lee added 17 points and 12 rebounds and Klay Thompson scored 17 points for the Warriors, who had dropped five of their previous seven games. Andre Iguodala chipped in 12 points, 10 rebounds and five assists for Golden State.

Wesley Matthews scored 21 points to pace the Trail Blazers, who shot a season-low 33.7 percent from the field. Damian Lillard added 16 points but LaMarcus Aldridge was held to 10 on 2-of-14 shooting to go with 11 rebounds for Portland.

Defense in the first and third quarters has been a trouble spot for the Warriors recently, but they held the Blazers to a combined 34 points in those frames to get off to strong starts in each half. Portland found its offense in the second quarter and turned a six-point deficit after the first into a 55-54 lead at the break despite 23 first-half points from Curry.

Golden State turned the defense back up in the third quarter and held the Blazers without a field goal for the first five minutes to take back the lead. Robin Lopez finally stopped the drought with a basket but the Warriors kept pushing and took a 76-67 lead into the fourth.

Draymond Green’s layup capped a 7-0 burst beginning the final stanza and the lead reached 20 points when Harrison Barnes buried a long jumper with 7:47 to play. Portland fell behind by as much as 22 points before a small lineup featuring four guards and Aldridge put together enough momentum to cut it to 91-75 midway through the fourth.

Golden State endured its own field-goal drought of nearly five minutes as the Blazers chipped away, pulling to within 94-85 with 2:56 left. Curry’s jumper got the Warriors back on the board and he hit a 3-pointer on the next trip to help lock it up.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Warriors had allowed an average of 108.4 points in their previous seven games. … Portland’s previous low was 36.4 percent shooting against the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 4. … Aldridge had scored at least 21 points in the last 11 games, and the 10 points matched a season low.
