Suns 107, Rockets 105: Jared Dudley scored 22 points and Goran Dragic had 13 of his 18 in the fourth quarter as Phoenix held on for a surprising win over visiting Houston.
Markieff Morris added 14 points for the Suns, who led by one with 4:05 remaining before going on an 8-1 run to pull ahead 101-93 with 52 seconds left. Phoenix, which faces Houston three more times this season, has won four of its last six games.
James Harden had 38 points and eight assists for Houston, which was outrebounded 47-39 and lost for the second time in its last three games. Carlos Delfino made five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points off the bench.
Phoenix used an 18-1 run to lead by 11 with 2:47 left in the second quarter before Harden scored seven quick points to help Houston pull within 50-46 at the break.
The Suns’ depleted frontcourt received a spark from center Hamed Haddadi, who set career highs in rebounds (11) and minutes played (28). Phoenix scored 32 fast-break points against the Rockets, who sit in seventh place in the Western Conference, 1 1/2 games in front of both Utah and the Los Angeles Lakers.
