Andre Miller scored 18 points, Corey Brewer added 16 and Danilo Gallinari chipped in 15 and eight boards for the Nuggets, who have won 10 of 11 at home.
Jameer Nelson had 20 points and eight assists, J.J. Redick scored 17 points and Nikola Vucevic registered his fifth straight double-double with 10 and 14 rebounds for the Magic, who have lost nine of their last 10 trips to Denver.
The teams went back and forth early until Orlando went on a 10-0 run to take a 23-14 lead with 4:43 left in the opening quarter. Denver battled back to move ahead midway through the second as Brewer scored eight points during a 10-2 burst, but the Magic entered the break with a 55-53 advantage.
Orlando pushed the lead to seven after three quarters and was ahead by as many as nine in the fourth before the Nuggets used an 8-0 spurt to move ahead 95-94 with 4:16 remaining. Lawson snapped a 99-99 tie with a three-point play with 1:27 to go and Gallinari converted a dunk with 51.7 seconds left to seal the win.
