Jazz 104, Kings 102: Gordon Hayward sank a jump shot with 4.5 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to snap a tie and keep Utah unbeaten at home.
Hayward scored a game-high 23 points off the bench, Marvin Williams added 20 and Derrick Favors chipped in 16 and 14 rebounds for the Jazz, who improved to 5-0 at EnergySolutions Arena this season with their third straight win overall.
Tyreke Evans had 19 points, Marcus Thornton contributed 18 and Aaron Brooks added 17 for the Kings, who have lost six of seven.
Ahead by seven after three quarters, Sacramento took an 88-75 lead as Thornton scored eight consecutive points early in the fourth. Utah was down by 12 before going on a 9-0 run to pull within 97-94 with 3:25 remaining.
The Jazz used a late 8-0 spurt to turn a five-point deficit into a three-point lead before Thornton buried a 3-pointer with 54.9 seconds left, forging a 102-102 tie. Hayward hit his decisive shot and James Johnson missed a running jumper for Sacramento as time expired.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Thornton has scored in double figures 11 times in 12 games this season. ... Utah center Al Jefferson fell two rebounds shy of a double-double as he scored 19 points and had eight boards. ... The teams complete their home-and-home series Saturday in Sacramento.
