Pau Gasol scored 28 points and didn't miss a shot from the field or the foul line as the Los Angeles Lakers routed the Golden State Warriors 117-89 on Sunday night.
Gasol was 10-of-10 from the field and made all eight of his free throws. He had 20 points in the first half and finished the game with nine rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots while playing only 30 minutes.
Los Angeles (12-2) never trailed in the contest. The game was tied 8-8 when the Lakers took control and led 37-21 after one quarter.
Kobe Bryant scored 20 points, Shannon Brown added 17 and Lamar Odom had 15 for Los Angeles, which shot 55.7 percent from the field (44-of-79). The Lakers have won four straight.
Golden State guard Monta Ellis, the second leading scorer in the league, fell hard to the floor in the third quarter and suffered an apparent hip injury. He went to the bench and didn't return. Ellis played only 23 minutes, scoring five points.
Dorell Wright led Golden State (7-6) with 16 points. Stephen Curry and Jeremy Lin scored 13 apiece.
The Lakers led 69-41 at halftime, thanks to converting 29-of-44 shots in the first half.
The Warriors played without forward David Lee, who missed his fifth straight game because of an elbow infection.
