Dwight Howard had a season-high 40 points and six blocks as the host Orlando Magic cruised to a 111-88 victory Friday over the shorthanded Oklahoma City Thunder.

Howard called out his team after an embarrassing 111-105 loss to Sacramento on Wednesday and backed up his talk by shooting 16 for 20 from the field and 8 for 12 from the free-throw line en route to his fourth straight game of 30 or more points.

Howard also had 15 rebounds and helped the Magic outscore the Thunder 54-26 in the paint en route to his ninth straight game with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, the longest such streak of his career.

Jason Richardson scored 17 points, including five 3-pointers, and Hedo Turkoglu had 10 assists for the Magic (37-22).

Kevin Durant had 23 points and 16 rebounds, and Russell Westbrook scored 18 for Oklahoma City (36-21), which has lost five straight on the road to teams in playoff position. The two Thunder stars combined to shoot 14 for 41 from the field.

The Thunder were without newly acquired Kendrick Perkins, who is expected to miss one week with a knee injury. Fellow newcomers Nate Robinson and Nazr Mohammed were also not in the lineup.
