Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Kevin Durant scored 33 as the Oklahoma City Thunder toppled the Atlanta Hawks, 103-94, on Friday.
James Harden added 15 points off the bench and Serge Ibaka chipped in 10 points and 10 boards for the Thunder, who knocked down 10-of-18 from beyond the arc and closed December by winning three of their last four.
Oklahoma City made its move early, getting 11 points from Durant and 10 from Jeff Green in the first quarter to jump out to a 33-24 lead.
Harden scored eight in the first five minutes of the second quarter to thwart a Hawks rally and the Thunder took a 60-53 edge into the break.
Atlanta had pulled to within two at 83-81 on the first possession of the fourth before Oklahoma City took off again, using an 8-1 spurt to regain control. Durant knocked down three 3-pointers in the fourth and Ibaka scored four points in the final minute to close it up.
Josh Smith collected 23 points, nine rebounds and seven turnovers and Joe Johnson had 16 points and 11 assists for the Hawks, who were playing without forward Marvin Williams due to a back injury.
