Jeff Green converted a driving layup on the right side of the court with 2 1/2 seconds left to wipe out the Detroit Pistons' first lead of the game as the Oklahoma City Thunder posted a 105-104 victory on Friday night.
Charlie Villanueva drained a 3-pointer from the right corner with 7.5 seconds remaining to give the Detroit a one-point lead in the Pistons' home opener. He was set up by Ben Gordon, who scored 20 of his 32 points in the second half. Gordon drove to the basket, drew the defense and then kicked it to Villanueva.
The Thunder called time out before inbounding to Green, who beat Jason Maxiell to the rim.
Kevin Durant scored 30 points and Russell Westbrook had 17 points and 11 assists for the Thunder, who held a 36-16 edge at the line. Green added 21 and Serge Ibaka had 16 and 10 rebounds.
Rodney Stuckey had 24 points and nine assists for the Pistons, who have lost their first two games.
