Amare Stoudemire collected 30 points and nine rebounds and Raymond Felton added 17 points and 15 assists Monday as the New York Knicks snapped a six-game slide with a 115-106 victory over the Washington Wizards, who remained winless on the road.
Wilson Chandler chipped in 25 points and seven boards for the Knicks, who knocked down 10 3-pointers, led by Chandler’s 4-of-8 from the arc.
The Wizards fell to 0-21 on the road.
Washington knotted it at 95-95 on Andray Blatche’s jumper with 9:52 left but went nearly three minutes without a point as New York pulled ahead.
Chandler’s jumper with 3:29 remaining capped a 15-4 burst and left the Knicks in control at 110-99. The Wizards got it back down to eight points with 1:39 left, but Chandler drilled a 3-pointer and Felton knocked down a jumper in the lane to end any hope of a comeback.
Nick Young scored 22 points and Rashard Lewis added 20 for Washington, which put five players in double figures in its latest attempt to end its road woes. The Wizards are 13-9 at home.
