Chris Narveson survived a shaky first inning and drove in the go-ahead run in the fourth, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-5 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.

Narveson (6-4) allowed the first six batters he faced to reach base and trailed 3-0 after run-scoring singles by Justin Morneau, Michael Cuddyer and Delmon Young.

Casey McGehee tied the game at 3-3 with a three-run homer in the fourth off Twins starter Scott Baker. Narveson then put the Brewers ahead with a two-out RBI single.

Narveson recovered to pitch five innings, allowing three runs and five hits.

John Axford worked out of a jam in the eighth and recorded the last six outs for his fifth save.

The Brewers extended their lead in the sixth on an Alcides Escobar RBI single. Rickie Weeks hit a solo homer and Ryan Braun added an RBI double in the seventh to extend the lead to 7-3.

Minnesota scored two in the eighth to make it 7-5 but could not get any closer.

Baker gave (6-6) up five runs and nine hits in six innings to take the loss.
