William Karlsson had two goals and an assist, Reilly Smith scored two goals and Malcolm Subban picked up the first shutout of his career as the Vegas Golden Knights cruised a 5-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Tomas Nosek also scored a goal, and Paul Stastny and Nick Holden each added two assists for Vegas, which won its fourth straight game and for the 10th time in its last 11 games. It was also the sixth straight home win for the Golden Knights, matching a season high.

Subban, playing his third straight game in place of the injured Marc-Andre Fleury, finished with 20 saves. He also improved to 13-1-0 all time in games played at T-Mobile Arena.

Laurent Brossoit allowed three goals on 18 shots before leaving early in the second period with a lower-body injury. Connor Hellebuyck, coming off a 3-0 shutout at Anaheim on Wednesday night, finished up and had 18 saves.

Vegas left wing Max Pacioretty, who has 22 goals this season, left the game in the first period with an apparent knee injury after falling awkwardly and did not return.

Karlsson gave the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead after just 84 seconds when he backhanded a rebound of a Holden slap shot in off Brossoit's far pad from a bad angle from the left side of the net. Smith, coming off a career-best four-point performance in a 7-3 win at San Jose on Monday, followed seven minutes later when he roofed a shot over Brossoit.

Vegas then broke the game open with three more goals in the second period. Nosek, off a long entry pass from Stastny, made it 3-0 with a short-handed goal past Brossoit's stick side.

Smith and Karlsson each scored their second goals of the game just 24 seconds apart near the end of the second period.

Winnipeg, which needed to garner a point in the game, missed a chance to clinch a Stanley Cup playoff berth for the second straight year. The Jets also saw their Central Division lead shrink to two points over Nashville, which lost to Pittsburgh 2-1 in a shootout earlier Thursday night. The two teams meet Saturday night in Winnipeg.
