Roberto Luongo yielded three goals on 21 shots through two periods before being replaced by Al Montoya (four saves).
Alzner unleashed a wrist shot from the point that sailed past Luongo, who was being screened by Laich and Joel Ward to give Washington a 3-2 lead with 54 seconds remaining in the middle session. Burakovsky followed Alzner's career-high third goal of the season by scoring from the doorstep at 5:42 of the third for his first tally since Nov. 28.
Ovechkin's one-timer from the left circle opened the scoring 1:16 into the second period before Trocheck cleaned up a rebound following a 2-on-none rush to forge a tie just over 2 1/2 minutes later. Olsen's wrist shot from the left circle gave Florida its first lead at 5:22 before Laich used Ward as a screen to beat Luongo from above the left circle to knot it up at 12:13.

Capitals C Nicklas Backstrom, who has an assist on 15 of Ovechkin's 19 goals this season, has recorded 14 points in his last 12 games (seven goals, seven assists). ...
