Blackhawks 5, Predators 4 (OT): Marian Hossa scored on a power play 52 seconds into overtime for his third goal in as many games as host Chicago posted its seventh straight victory.
Defenseman Duncan Keith collected a goal and two assists, Patrick Kane matched captain Jonathan Toews with his 21st tally and Michal Handzus scored his first goal with his new team. Brandon Saad also tallied and Corey Crawford turned aside 23 shots for the Blackhawks, who completed a season sweep of their Central Division rival to move six points ahead of Pittsburgh in the race for the Presidents' Trophy.
Matt Halischuk recorded his first career two-goal performance and Kevin Henderson tallied in his NHL debut. Bobby Butler forged a 4-4 tie by cleaning up a rebound with 3:34 remaining in the third period for the Predators, who fell to 0-7-1 in their last eight games.
With Rich Clune serving a double-minor for high-sticking, Hossa accepted Kane's centering feed and unleashed a one-timer from the right faceoff circle that beat Pekka Rinne (25 saves).
Handzus gave Chicago a 4-3 lead by keeping his stick on the ice to intercept a clearing attempt by defenseman Victor Bartley. Handzus skated in and fired a wrist shot from the right circle that beat Rinne under the crossbar at 10:07 of the third.
