Bruins 2, Senators 1 (OT): Patrice Bergeron scored 3:38 into overtime as host Boston posted its fifth straight victory and ended Ottawa's five-game winning streak.
The Bruins killed off a 4-on-3 short-handed situation to begin overtime and ended the contest when Bergeron redirected defenseman Dennis Seidenberg's point shot. The puck trickled past goaltender Robin Lehner just inside the left post and over the goal line.
Nathan Horton scored his third goal in four games and Tuukka Rask turned aside 30 shots for the Bruins, who improved to 4-2-0 against Northeast Division rivals this season.
Jim O'Brien netted a power-play goal and Lehner finished with 44 saves in his season debut for the Senators, who fell to 3-5-1 away from Canada's capital city.
Horton opened the scoring 5:48 into the second period as he finished a give-and-go with rookie defenseman Dougie Hamilton by getting just enough on his shot to beat Lehner between the pads. O'Brien answered with 5:22 left in the period by poking in a loose puck moments after Kaspars Daugavins had been denied on a breakaway.
