OILERS 2, FLYERS 0: Devan Dubnyk turned aside 35 shots for his third career shutout as host Edmonton blanked Philadelphia.
Dubnyk survived a third-period barrage by the Flyers to earn back-to-back victories for just the second time all season. It was his first shutout since last April 5 against Vancouver.
The Oilers' vaunted power play opened the scoring 3:26 into the second period. After defenseman Ryan Whitney fired a shot wide of the net, Taylor Hall gathered the puck and slapped a bad-angle shot past Flyers netminder Ilya Bryzgalov.
It was the 22nd goal for the sophomore forward, equaling his total from last season.
Jordan Eberle doubled the lead at 8:06, ripping a wrist shot from the slot that squeezed past Bryzgalov for his team-high 60th point of the season. Eberle finished with a goal and an assist.
The Flyers came out firing to open the third period - outshooting the Oilers by an 8-1 margin over the first 5 1/2 minutes - but couldn't solve Dubnyk, who has stopped 56 of 57 shots in consecutive victories over Calgary and Philadelphia.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Hall scored 22 goals in 65 games as a rookie. Thursday marked his 50th game this season. ... Eberle has eight goals and six assists in 10 February games. ... Oilers LW Magnus Paajarvi left late in the second period after taking a knee-on-knee hit from Philadelphia's Scott Hartnell. Paajarvi didn not return. Hartnell was given a minor penalty.
