Pavel Datsyuk scored 3:08 into overtime as the Detroit Red Wings pulled into a three-way tie atop the Central Division with a 3-2 road triumph over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

Valtteri Filppula collected a goal and an assist, Henrik Zetterberg also tallied and Ty Conklin turned aside 29 shots for the Red Wings. With the triumph, Detroit is now tied with both Chicago and the St. Louis Blues with 53 points.

In overtime, Datsyuk's initial shot was denied by Corey Crawford, who could not locate the loose puck on the doorstep. Datsyuk alertly gained possession and fired a sharp-angle shot from below the goalline and into the net to quiet the United Center.

Patrick Sharp scored before leaving the contest with an upper body injury and Dave Bolland also tallied for Chicago, which suffered its fourth straight loss.

After Filppula cut the Blackhawks' lead to 2-1, rookie Jimmy Hayes had a chance to regain the two-goal edge on a penalty shot in the third period. Conklin bailed out Tomas Holmstrom for gloving the puck in the crease by denying Hayes with his pads.

Zetterberg then leveled the contest with 4:45 remaining in the third period after beating Crawford in a scramble in front of the net.
