Juan Soto homered, singled and drove in three runs, Josh Bell added a three-run home run and the visiting Washington Nationals defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 6-4 on Tuesday.
Josh Harrison had two hits for the Nationals, who snapped a five-game losing streak.
Washington shortstop Trea Turner left in the first inning after reportedly testing positive for COVID-19.
Nationals starter Erick Fedde tossed 4 2/3 innings and gave up eight hits and four runs. Fedde struck out four and walked one.
Wander Suero (2-2) earned the win in relief.
Brad Hand, who had suffered blown saves in the last two games, earned his 21st save in 26 opportunities with a scoreless ninth inning. Jean Segura reached second on an error to open the ninth, but he was stranded there.
Bryce Harper led the Phillies with three hits and two RBIs, including the first inside-the-park home run of his career.
Andrew McCutchen homered for the second straight game while Rhys Hoskins added two hits and two walks. Odubel Herrera also had two hits.
Phillies starter Matt Moore (0-3) lasted just four innings and allowed seven hits and six runs, with three strikeouts and two walks.
The Nationals jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning when Bell launched a three-run homer to right.
In the bottom of the first, Harper ripped an RBI double and the Phillies closed within 3-1.
Soto crushed a three-run home run to left in the second to extend the Nationals' lead to 6-1.
The Phillies cut the deficit to 6-2 in the fourth when Herrera hit an RBI double.
Harper recorded his inside-the-park home run in the fifth as the Phillies closed within three runs. The ball caromed off the center field wall and Harper scored rather easily. McCutchen then followed with a solo home run, and the score was 6-4.
The Phillies placed runners at first and second with two outs in the eighth and Andrew Knapp flied out to the wall in left against Kyle Finnegan.
