Newman's sixth homer in the fourth pushed the Pirates' lead to 5-2.
In the sixth, Jose Osuna doubled to right with and moved to third on Frazier's groundout. Reynolds walked ahead of Marte's two-run triple to give the Pirates a 7-2 lead.
