Royals 7, Giants 4: Alex Gordon and Salvador Perez each hit a two-run homer as host Kansas City completed a three-game sweep and extended its winning streak to seven games.

Norichika Aoki went 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored and Billy Butler added an RBI double for Kansas City, which has won six straight series. Danny Duffy (7-10) dominated through the first six innings before being charged with four runs on only three hits in 6 2/3 frames as the Royals pulled within a half-game of first-place Detroit in the American League Central.

Tim Lincecum (9-8) continued his recent slump by allowing six runs and seven hits in 3 1/3 innings, falling to 0-2 with a 10.59 ERA over his last four starts. Andrew Susac drove in three runs and Hunter Pence added an RBI base hit for San Francisco, which has dropped 12 of 17 and sits 4 1/2 games back in the NL West.

Duffy needed 11 pitches to cruise through the top of the first before Lincecum used up 34 in a four-run bottom half, as Butler's double got the scoring started and a wild pitch pushed in another run. Gordon followed with a shot over the bullpens in right for his third home run in four games and a 4-0 lead.

The Giants got one run right back on Susac's RBI single in the second but Aoki knocked in a run with a base hit in the fourth and Perez went deep one out later for a 7-1 advantage. Susac's two-run double helped chase Duffy in the seventh but two relievers bridged the gap to Greg Holland, who loaded the bases in the ninth before notching his AL-leading 34th save.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Francisco 1B Michael Morse (toe) was a late scratch. ... Aoki and CF Jarrod Dyson both had three stolen bases to become the first set of Royals teammates to accomplish the feat in the same game. ... San Francisco has Monday off before hosting the Chicago White Sox in another interleague series Tuesday, while Kansas City stays home to open a big four-game series with Oakland on Monday.
