RayQuan Evans, whose basket forced overtime, hit two free throws with 12.3 seconds left in the extra session as Florida State knocked off No. 6 Duke 79-78 on Tuesday night in Tallahassee, Fla.

John Butler's blocked shot of Wendell Moore Jr.'s attempt off a drive helped clinch the outcome before fans stormed the floor to celebrate.

Caleb Mills scored eight of his 18 points in overtime as Florida State (11-5, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) pushed its winning streak to four games.

Florida State has won an NCAA-record 13 consecutive overtime outings.

Paolo Banchero racked up 20 points, including two free throws to put the Blue Devils (14-3, 4-2) on top with 36.8 seconds to play in overtime -- before Evans went to the foul line at the other end.

Mark Williams dunked with 30.3 seconds to play in regulation for Duke's first lead since early in the second half. The Seminoles milked the clock before Evans scored on a drive at the 1.3-second mark, forcing overtime at 67-67.

Williams had 15 points and Moore 13 for Duke. Butler posted 14 points for Florida State.

Florida State didn't connect on a field goal for almost seven minutes before Evans' tying basket.

The Seminoles benefitted from a 42-37 rebounding advantage. The board work helped Florida State overcome 35.6 percent shooting.

Late in regulation, Banchero scored five points in a 40-second span to help the Blue Devils close within 63-58.

Banchero fed Williams for a dunk as the gap narrowed to 65-63 with just less than two minutes to play. AJ Griffin's 12-foot floater tied the game on the Blue Devils' next possession.

Duke scored the final seven points of the first half to take a 38-33 lead to the break.

Florida State began the second half by scoring the first nine points. The Seminoles continued to benefit by offensive rebounding, stretching their edge to 59-50.

By then, Duke lost freshman guard Trevor Keels to a lower-leg injury. He scored nine points before leaving just before the midway mark of the second half.

This began a stretch of three games in five days for Florida State.
