No. 4 Wisconsin 65, Nebraska 55: Sam Dekker matched his career high with 21 points and collected eight rebounds as the visiting Badgers downed the Cornhuskers for their seventh straight victory.

Frank Kaminsky tallied 13 points, 12 boards, four assists and three blocks en route to his ninth double-double of the season for Wisconsin (22-2, 10-1 Big Ten), which increased its lead atop the conference to three games with seven to play. Bronson Koenig added 13 points as the Badgers recorded their sixth double-digit victory during their winning streak and matched their best 24-game start in school history.

Terran Petteway went 9-of-24 from the field to finish with 21 points and eight rebounds for Nebraska (13-11, 5-7), which has dropped four of five – averaging 46 points in the losses. Shavon Shields contributed 12 points and was the only other Cornhusker to score in double figures.

Dekker’s six field goals and 13 points matched Nebraska’s production in the first half as the Cornhuskers shot 21.4 percent from the field and endured a scoring drought of more than seven minutes. Dekker’s three-point play with 1½ minutes left before intermission gave Wisconsin a 27-11 advantage while Koenig’s 3-pointer early in the second half stretched the margin to 17.

Petteway nailed a long triple and hit a layup during a 10-3 surge coming out of the break to force a timeout six minutes into the second half, but Wisconsin used both of Dekker’s 3-pointers to rebuff Nebraska twice after it pulled within 10. Petteway capped a late 16-6 run by the Cornhuskers with eight straight Nebraska points to trim their deficit to 58-53 with just over a minute left, but the Badgers made seven of their eight free throws to hold off the rally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 13 points that Wisconsin yielded in the first half were the fewest it has allowed in a half this season while the 42 points the Badgers gave up after the break was tied for the third-most it has surrendered. … Nebraska has scored 13 points in the first half in each of its last two contests, going 10-of-51 from the field. … Wisconsin improved to 15-4 in road games since the start of last season.
