Jordan Taylor had a game-high 15 points and 10 assists and Ryan Evans added 14 points as No. 16 Wisconsin snapped a two-game skid by knocking off Green Bay 70-42 Wednesday at the Kohl Center.
The Badgers (7-2) were relentless defensively, limiting the Phoenix to their lowest point total of the season while holding them to just 32 percent shooting. Green Bay trailed 33-21 at halftime.
Wisconsin, which extended its non-conference home winning streak to 43 games, improved to 17-1 all-time against Green Bay (4-5), including a 15-0 record at home. The Badgers opened the second half on an 8-0 run to extend their lead to 20 just four minutes in.
Green Bay held a slight advantage on the boards, outrebounding Wisconsin 34-33, but was otherwise inefficient offensively. The Phoenix committed 16 turnovers with only six assists and attempted just five free throws.
Alec Brown, who averages a team-high 13 points, finished with 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting for the Phoenix, who fell to 0-5 on the road and were held in the 40s for the second time in their last four games.
Jared Berggren had 13 points for the Badgers, who wrap up a three-game homestand on Saturday against upstart UNLV, which upset then-No. 1 North Carolina earlier this year.
