Heat 110, Pistons 95: LeBron James tallied 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds and Ray Allen added 18 points in a rare start as visiting Miami snapped Detroit's four-game winning streak.
Chris Bosh collected 16 points and nine boards for the Heat, who were without star guard Dwyane Wade. Roger Mason Jr. scored 12 on 4-of-6 from 3-point range and fellow reserve Chris Andersen added 10 points as Miami won its second in a row following a two-game skid.
Andre Drummond recorded his 15th double-double of the season with 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Pistons, who were missing guard Rodney Stuckey because of a sore left knee. Brandon Jennings also scored 19 and Josh Smith added 13 for Detroit.
Miami never trailed, racing out to a 12-2 lead as Allen scored six straight points and the Heat held off a Detroit surge to lead 28-21 after one. The Pistons closed within two at one point in the second quarter and shot 50 percent in the first half but still went into the locker room trailing 59-53 as Miami hit 64.7 percent before the break.
Allen and James combined for 15 points in the third quarter as the Heat outscored the Pistons 32-17 in the period to open it up. Detroit pulled as close as 101-86 with a little over five minutes left in the fourth quarter, but Mason answered with a 3-pointer and Miami had the lead back to 20 less than a minute later.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Wade (knees) has sat out the second game of three of the Heat's four back-to-back sets so far this season, including both meetings with Detroit. … James has scored in double figures in 516 consecutive games, the fifth-longest streak in NBA history. … Miami improved to 15-0 when holding opponents under 100 points.
