Trail Blazers 91, Bucks 82: LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points as visiting Portland won its eighth consecutive game.

Damian Lillard added 19 points for the Blazers (10-2), who are off to their best start since opening 10-1 in 2000-01. Wesley Matthews scored all 15 of his points in the first half while Nicolas Batum added eight points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

Luke Ridnour had 13 points to pace Milwaukee, which has lost six in a row. Gary Neal and Zaza Pachulia added 11 apiece while John Henson had 10.

Matthews' first-half explosion helped Portland go into the break with a 53-51 edge, but it was Aldridge who extended the advantage in the third quarter. He hit his first two shots of the frame to provide the Blazers some breathing room, and he knocked down back-to-back shots to stem a Milwaukee surge and go into the fourth with a 70-64 lead.

A Khris Middleton reverse layup with 7:41 remaining closed Milwaukee to within five, but the offense went south after that - failing to score for nearly 3 1/2 minutes. Lillard put things out of reach a short time later, slamming home a Batum pass before knocking down a 3-pointer to make it a double-digit lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bucks PF Ersan Ilyasova returned to action after missing the previous six games with an ankle injury. Ilyasova had five points and five rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench. Caron Butler (shoulder) added nine points in 29 minutes after missing the previous two games. ... The loss ended Milwaukee's four-game winning streak in the head-to-head series. ... Portland improved to 8-0 when leading at the half.
