Hakim Warrick came off the bench to score 21 points and the Phoenix Suns rallied in the second half to defeat the Denver Nuggets 100-94 on Monday night.
The Suns, who fell one short of the league record with 22 3-pointers in Sunday night's win over the Los Angeles Lakers, made only 4-of-20 from beyond the arc against the Nuggets, but overcame a 15-point deficit in the second quarter for their third straight win.
Channing Frye and Steve Nash scored 15 points apiece as the Suns had six players in double figures.
Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets with 20 points. Aaron Afflalo scored 15 points while Chauncey Billups and Nene had 14 apiece.
Denver built a 54-39 lead late in the second quarter and led 58-46 at halftime.
Phoenix cut five points off the lead in the third quarter. Warrick's basket with 7:37 left in the fourth quarter tied the game. Al Harrington's free throw put the Nuggets back in front, but Hedo Turkoglu followed with a three-point play and made a free throw when Billups was called for a technical. Warrick's driving layup made it 87-82 with 5:53 left.
Billups converted a three-point play, but 3-pointers by Nash and Turkoglu put the Suns ahead 98-89 with 2:48 to play.
