Andrew Bogut and Earl Boykins keyed a fourth-quarter run and the Milwaukee Bucks took advantage of the Sacramento Kings’ latest meltdown in an 84-79 victory Thursday at Arco Arena.
The Bucks trailed 75-69 with 8:23 left, but Bogut converted two baskets in the paint and Boykins drained a couple of jumpers during a 12-0 run that gave the Bucks an 81-75 lead with 2 ½ minutes to play.
Bogut had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Boykins scored 19 off the bench, two days after scoring 22 to lead a win against the Los Angeles Lakers.
It was the third straight game in which Sacramento had surrendered a fourth-quarter lead and lost. The Kings committed a season-high 25 turnovers, including six in the fourth, and shot 36.5 percent.
The Kings played one good quarter in the third, shooting 10-of-23 and grabbing seven offensive rebounds to turn a four-point halftime deficit into a 64-62 lead.
In the first half, Samuel Dalembert and Beno Udrih combined for 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting, but the rest of team shot just 5-of-33 and looked like a team on its way to a seventh straight loss and 15th in 16.
