Boris Diaw had 26 points and 11 assists and the Charlotte Bobcats held Cleveland scoreless over the last two minutes to escape with a 98-97 victory over the Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Diaw hit the game-winning free throw with 14 seconds left, and Cleveland fell just short when Anthony Parker’s floater at the buzzer bounced around and fell out.

Kwame Brown had 16 points and D.J. Augustin had 12 assists on two bad legs for the Bobcats, who won their fourth straight game. They remain tied with the Indiana Pacers in the loss column for the final playoff seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavs were coming off an emotional victory over LeBron James and the Miami Heat on Tuesday and trying for their first winning streak since early November. J.J. Hickson had 20 points, 16 in the second half, Ramon Sessions had 24 points off the bench and Parker had 14 for the Cavs. Parker had made six of eight shots before taking the final shot at the buzzer.
