Gerald Wallace had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Stephen Jackson scored 18 points as the Charlotte Bobcats snapped a three-game slide with a 101-96 victory over the host Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
D.J. Augustin added 18 points and five assists and Tyrus Thomas chipped in 14 points off the bench for the Bobcats, who handed Toronto its sixth straight loss.
The Raptors ended the third quarter on a 15-5 run to take a 74-69 lead into the final quarter, but the Bobcats came out strong in the fourth quarter, reclaiming the lead on Stephen Jackson’s 3-pointer with 5:39 left and extending it to 93-89 on Boris Diaw’s hook shot with 2:53 to play.
Toronto cut it to 97-96 on Andrea Bargnani’s layup with 20 seconds left. But Thomas sank a pair of free throws eight seconds later and Augustin added two more to seal the win.
Bargnani collected 25 points and 10 boards and Sonny Weems scored 18 points off the bench for the Raptors.
