Blue Jays 3, White Sox 2 (11): David Cooper drove home the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning as host Toronto won its second straight game.
With runners on first and third and one out, Cooper hit a line-drive single just in front of White Sox right fielder Alex Rios. That brought home Kelly Johnson, who reached on a four-pitch walk and advanced to third base on an Edwin Encarnacion single.
Steve Delabar (3-1) struck out six over two scoreless innings to earn the win.
Leyson Septimo (0-2), who walked Johnson in the 11th, took the loss.
The Blue Jays prevailed despite surrendering a pair of home runs to major-league leader Adam Dunn, the second of which tied the game in the top of the ninth inning. Dunn's game-tying blast - his 33rd of the season - came after outfielder Moises Sierra's first major-league home run had temporarily put the Blue Jays in front in the seventh.
Both starters fared well. Chicago's Jake Peavy limited Toronto to a pair of runs on five hits over eight innings, walking two and striking out five.
Toronto counterpart Carlos Villanueva went a season-high seven innings, allowing a run on five hits while fanning eight.
The Blue Jays struck first in the bottom of the third inning, as Encarnacion's two-out single to right field scored Anthony Gose from second base. Dunn answered the next half-inning, blasting a Villanueva pitch over the center-field wall for his first home run in 14 games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Delabar struck out four batters in the 10th inning, becoming the fourth pitcher this season to accomplish the feat. It's the first time in baseball history a pitcher has recorded four strikeouts in an extra inning. ... Blue Jays reliever Brandon Lyon has racked up 20 strikeouts in 10 innings since being traded to Toronto in a deadline deal with the Houston Astros. ... Blue Jays closer Casey Janssen came into the night a perfect 15-for-15 in save chances since early May before surrendering Dunn's game-tying opposite-field blast. ... Dunn has 32 multi-homer games in his career.
