Lars Nootbaar and Masyn Winn each hit a two-run homer to power the St. Louis Cardinals past the visiting Boston Red Sox 10-6 on Friday.

Alec Burleson hit a solo homer -- his fifth of the year -- and an RBI single for the Cardinals, who won for the fourth time in five games.

Brendan Donovan hit two doubles and scored twice for St. Louis, and Nolan Gorman hit his sixth homer of the season.

Cardinals starting pitcher Kyle Gibson (3-2) allowed five runs on eight hits in six-plus innings. He struck out three and walked three.

David Hamilton hit a two-run triple and Rafael Devers had a homer and two RBIs for the Red Sox, who lost for the fourth time in five games.

Boston starting pitcher Brayan Bello (4-2) allowed five runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out four and walked none.

The Cardinals broke out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Donovan led off with a double and Nootbaar followed with his fourth homer of the year.

Boston tied the score 2-2 in the second inning on a single by Tyler O'Neill, a double by Dominic Smith and Hamilton's two-out triple.

Gorman's homer in the bottom of the inning put the Cardinals up 3-2. But Devers hit his seventh homer of the season in the third inning to tie the score.

Burleson's solo shot in the fourth inning put the Cardinals up 4-3.

St. Louis increased its lead to 5-3 in the fifth inning. Donovan hit another double and scored on Paul Goldschmidt's single.

The Cardinals made it 7-3 in the sixth inning on a single by Ivan Herrera and Winn's two-run homer -- his first of the year.

The Red Sox cut their deficit to 7-5 in the seventh inning. Vaughn Grissom walked, Hamilton hit a double, Jarren Duran hit an RBI groundout and Connor Wong (4-for-5) smacked an RBI double.

St. Louis made it 9-5 in the bottom of the inning. Nootbaar walked. One out later, Burleson and Herrera each hit RBI singles.

The Cardinals made it 10-5 in the eighth on Nolan Arenado's RBI single. The Red Sox got one run back in the ninth on Devers' run-scoring groundout.
