Bruins 7, Senators 2: Patrice Bergeron scored two goals and set up another while Brad Marchand notched a tally and two assists as host Boston stomped Ottawa with its highest output of the season.

Red-hot Jarome Iginla and Carl Soderberg each recorded a goal and an assist while former Senator Chris Kelly and Milan Lucic also tallied to send the Bruins into the Olympic break with seven wins in their last nine games (7-1-1). David Krejci, Loui Eriksson and Reilly Smith collected two assists apiece and Chad Johnson turned aside 26 shots in winning his fifth straight start.

Bobby Ryan and defenseman Patrick Wiercioch scored for the Senators, who fell to 4-2-1 in their last seven and have been outscored 11-2 in their two games in Boston this season. Craig Anderson allowed five goals on 33 shots before being replaced early in the third period by Robin Lehner, who made seven saves.

The lone bright moment for the Senators came when Ryan cut the deficit to 3-1 at 17:15 of the middle session with only his third goal in 18 games, but Iginla answered 63 seconds later, steering home Krejci's pass at the doorstep to make it 4-1 after two periods. Lucic ended Anderson's day 3 1/2 minutes into the third with a one-timer from the right faceoff circle before Marchand redirected Smith's pass just under five minutes later to make it 6-1.

Team Canada-bound Bergeron started his three-point effort in spectacular fashion, stretching to settle a pass from Soderberg and deftly poking the puck past Anderson during a power play at 11:36 of the first period. Kelly gave the Bruins a 2-0 lead after one before another highlight-reel tally by Bergeron, who accepted a pass in the right circle, skated in and veered around Anderson before tucking a backhander into the net 4:55 into the middle session for a 3-0 advantage.
