Tom Pritchard's putback in the final minute capped a late rally that pushed host Indiana to a 52-49 victory over No. 21 Illinois on Thursday.
The victory was the first over a ranked opponent for the Hoosiers (11-10, 2-6 Big Ten) in three years under head coach Tom Crean.
The Fighting Illini (14-7, 4-4) scored seven straight points to take a 49-46 lead on Brandon Paul's 3-pointer with 2:44 to go before the Hoosiers went ahead 50-49 on Pritchard's tip-in with 38 seconds left. The final lead change was the 14th of the game.
Jordan Hulls, who led Indiana with 18 points, added a pair of free throws after an Illinois turnover to make it 52-49 with 12.5 seconds left. D.J. Richardson and Paul missed 3-point attempts in the final seven seconds.
Christian Watford added 16 points for the Hoosiers, while Mike Davis scored 14 points for the Illini, who have lost four of their last five.
