Christian Webster had a game-high 20 points and Harvard toppled visiting Colorado, 82-66, Sunday in the Crimson’s first win over a Big 12 opponent.
Junior forward Keith Wright scored 19 and junior guard Oliver McNally added 17 for Harvard (4-1), which led 37-28 at halftime. The Crimson led by as many as 21 in the second half and were never threatened as they rolled to their fourth straight win.
Cory Higgins led the Buffaloes (2-3) with 21 points and Alec Burks had 20, but Colorado struggled from the field, shooting just 38.8 percent (19-of-49). Marcus Relphorde was the only other player in double figures with 12.
The only school in the Ivy League with no seniors this season, Harvard entered the game 0-11 against teams from the Big 12. The Crimson made 10-of-25 (40 percent) of their 3-pointers, while Colorado hit on just 2-of-9 (22.2 percent).
Sophomore Kyle Casey, the reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Year, scored just one point as he eases back into action after missing the first three games because of a foot injury.
Picked to finish ninth in the Big 12 preseason coaches’ poll, Colorado entered the game with an 8-1 record against Ivy League schools.
