Trae Young had 26 points and 10 assists, De'Andre Hunter added 20 points, and the Atlanta Hawks never trailed en route to handing the host Washington Wizards their ninth consecutive loss, 136-108, on Saturday in Washington, D.C.

The Hawks pulled away in the third quarter. Young hit four of his six shots in the quarter as Atlanta shot 15 of 26 while Washington was held to 8-of-25 shooting, helping the Hawks outscore the Wizards 37-20 in the quarter.

The 28-point margin of the defeat was the most lopsided for Washington this season. The Wizards came into Saturday's contest having lost each of their previous two by three points apiece, including a 131-128 defeat on Friday in Milwaukee.

Washington played the second half of its back-to-back set without Jordan Poole, the team's second-leading scorer at 17.7 points per game. However, the Wizards hung tough through the first quarter, battling back from a 17-6 deficit to pull within 34-30 at the end of the period.

Landry Shamet scored five of his 12 points off the bench late in the opening period to help close the gap. The Wizards struggled to find sustained offense the rest of the way.

Seven Washington players scored in double-figures, but none with more than Jared Butler's 13 points off the bench. Kyle Kuzma finished with 12 points and added team-highs of eight assists and seven rebounds.

The Wizards committed 20 turnovers, which led to 27 points for the Hawks. Washington finished with just 15 points on 10 Atlanta turnovers.

Atlanta shot 18-of-37 from 3-point range, while Washington was held to 10-of-38.

Dejounte Murray, who scored 11 points and added 10 assists, contributed to the Hawks' defensive effort with four steals. Young, Hunter and Jalen Johnson each came away with two steals.

Clint Capela contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds for Atlanta, and Saddiq Bey added 13 points off the bench.
