J.D. Martinez homered twice, and the second one was a two-run tiebreaking shot that gave the Boston Red Sox a 6-4 victory over the host Baltimore Orioles in the nightcap of a day-night doubleheader Saturday at Camden Yards.

The win completed a Red Sox sweep of the doubleheader as Boston won the opener 5-0 and is 13-2 versus the Orioles this year.

Martinez hit a solo homer earlier in the game, but his big hit came off Mike Wright Jr. (3-1) in the eighth. The two-run shot to left-center snapped a 3-3 tie.

Martinez finished 2-for-2 with two walks, two runs and three RBIs. He now has 37 homers and 104 RBIs, leading the majors in both categories.

Joe Kelly (4-0) earned the win in relief for the Red Sox. Craig Kimbrel took care of the ninth and earned his 34th save this season despite giving up a run.

The Red Sox used a committee approach for their pitching. Hector Velazquez usually works out of the bullpen but started and went 2 2/3 innings, giving up two runs.

Rookie Yefry Ramirez started for Baltimore and also got a no-decision. He allowed two runs on three hits in five innings.

The Orioles took a 1-0 lead in the second when Renato Nunez lined an RBI double that put runners on second and third with no outs. But Velazquez retired the next three Baltimore hitters.

In the third, the Orioles added another run on Trey Mancini's RBI single. But the 2-0 lead did not last long.

Martinez homered in the fourth to make it 2-1.

Eduardo Nunez led off the fifth with a triple to right and scored on a Dan Butler sacrifice fly, tying the game.

Steve Pearce gave the Red Sox a 3-2 lead in the sixth by scoring from third on a Cody Carroll wild pitch. But Baltimore tied it in the bottom half when Joey Rickard hit a solo homer.

Martinez added his second homer in the eighth, and Brock Holt contributed an RBI single in the ninth. Mancini hit a solo homer in the ninth, his 17th of the season, that cut the lead to 6-4.
