Oilers 3, Blues 0: Nikolai Khabibulin made 43 saves for his 46th career shutout while Jordan Eberle collected two goals and an assist as visiting Edmonton blanked St. Louis.

Taylor Hall had a goal and set up two others and Nugent-Hopkins added two assists for the Oilers, who avenged a 3-0 home loss to the Blues on Saturday. Khabibulin, making his second start in three games, made eight saves in the first period, 21 in the second and 14 in the third for his first shutout since Nov. 3, 2011.

Jake Allen was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots and Jaroslav Halak made 12 saves in relief for the Blues, who saw their four-game home winning streak come to an end.

Eberle tapped in a cross-slot feed from Hall on a 3-on-1 rush with Nugent-Hopkins to open the scoring midway through the first period. He doubled the lead early in the second with a wrist shot from the right hash marks. Khabibulin stopped David Perron on a breakaway just before Eberle’s second goal.

Hall made it 3-0 by following Eberle into the zone on a breakaway chance and banging the rebound into a vacant net 5:17 into the second period. That was the end of the night for Allen, who has lost his last two starts after winning five in a row.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Blues were poised for their first series sweep of Edmonton since 1993-94 after winning the first two games 4-2 and 3-0, but instead were blanked for the third time in 2013. … St. Louis RW Chris Stewart, who entered with 16 points in 12 games this month, was held without a shot and finished minus-1. … Oilers C Sam Gagner went without a point for the third straight game - his longest drought of the season. … Edmonton won in St. Louis for the first time since Dec. 11, 2009.
