Drew Brees tossed four touchdown passes - two apiece to wide receivers Marques Colston and Robert Meachem - as the New Orleans Saints posted a 34-19 victory over the visiting Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Christopher Ivory added a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter as New Orleans (7-3) won its third in a row to remain hot on the heels of Atlanta (8-2) in the NFC South.

The Falcons cruised to a 34-17 victory over the St. Louis Rams (4-6) on Sunday, thereby keeping Seattle (5-5) in sole possession of first place in the NFC West.

Brees finished 29 of 43 and completed passes to 10 different receivers while amassing 382 yards.

Colston reeled in a team-high eight receptions for 113 yards while Meachem had three catches for 50 yards for the Saints.

Matt Hasselbeck found Ben Obomanu for a 2-yard score and Olindo Mare connected on all four field-goal attempts for Seattle, which has dropped three of its last four games.

Hasselbeck completed 32 of 44 passes for 366 yards, with former first-round pick Mike Williams (six catches, 109 yards) and Obomanu (five catches, 87 yards) proving to be his trusted targets.
