Chase Hunter scored a career-high 23 points to power Clemson to a 70-60 Atlantic Coast Conference victory against Boston College on Saturday in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Hunter made 7 of 9 shots from the floor and scored 17 of his points in the second half as the Tigers (14-15, 6-12 ACC) avenged a two-point loss to the Eagles at Clemson on Jan. 15.

Hunter eclipsed his previous career-high of 21 points, which he set Wednesday in a win against Wake Forest. Saturday's scoring output marked the eighth double-figure game in the last 12 for Hunter, who was making his 10th consecutive start.

Al-Amir Dawes added 16 points off the bench for Clemson while David Collins scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Dawes is averaging 17.8 points and is shooting 45.9 percent from 3-point range over the Tigers' last four games.

Clemson, which will conclude the regular season with home games against Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech, was playing its eighth straight game without starting forward Hunter Tyson, who is sidelined with a broken collarbone, and second straight full game without leading scorer P.J. Hall, who aggravated a foot injury one minute into the Tigers' game at Louisville on Feb. 19.

James Karnik led Boston College (11-17, 6-12) with 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor. Jaeden Zackery added 14 points while Brevin Galloway scored 11 and Makai Ashton-Langford had 10.

Boston College was attempting to win a third straight ACC game for the first time since the 2014-15 season.

Clemson led by as many as seven points in the opening minutes of the game, before Boston College chipped away at the Tigers' lead. Clemson led 28-25 at the half, then used a 10-0 run -- sparked by eight consecutive points by Hunter -- to push its lead to 44-35 midway through the second half.

The lead swelled to as large as 14 points with 7:32 remaining and the Eagles never drew closer than six points the rest of the way.
