Jericole Hellems scored 19 points in North Carolina State's 69-50 victory against visiting Campbell on Saturday afternoon in Raleigh, N.C.
The Wolfpack (4-1) prevailed in its final game before an Atlantic Coast Conference opener Tuesday night against visiting North Carolina.
NC State struggled in the early going before holding a 30-28 halftime lead.
Devon Daniels added 12 points and Manny Bates scored 10 points for the Wolfpack. Daniels, a guard, had eight rebounds as part of NC State's 44-23 advantage on the boards.
Cedric Henderson Jr. and Gediminas Mokseckas each scored 10 points for Campbell (4-2), which lost for the second time in four days after Wednesday's setback at Elon.
The Camels, who entered the game shooting 54.6 percent from the field, hit only 25 percent of their shots.
Bates, a sophomore center appearing in his 34th career game, became the fastest ACC player to reach 100 career blocked shots in more than 20 years. He has 101 after two rejections against Campbell.
The teams began the game shooting a combined 2-for-13.
NC State, because of positive coronavirus tests within the program, hadn't played since Dec. 3 before losing Thursday night at Saint Louis in a game added to the schedule. The Wolfpack had five games in a 17-day span either postponed or canceled.
Still, the Wolfpack was without D.J. Funderburk and Cam Hayes for the second game in a row.
This was NC State's first game of the season played at PNC Arena, which is its normal home venue. It played two earlier home games on campus at Reynolds Coliseum, which was its previous regular home facility. The plan is to play all ACC games at PNC Arena.
N.C. State has won 23 consecutive non-league home games, regardless of which facility used.
This was the first Campbell-NC State meeting since November 2013.
