Washington senior wing Matisse Thybulle had 17 points, six steals and five blocked shots as the Huskies clinched at least a share of the Pac-12 title with a 64-55 win over Colorado on Saturday night in Seattle.
Washington (22-5, 13-1 Pac-12) has a four-game lead over Arizona State and Oregon State with four games to play.
Colorado (16-11, 7-8) has lost two consecutive games after a five-game winning streak that was its longest in conference play since the 2005-2006 season, when it was in the Big 12.
Thybulle made 7 of 13 shots from the field and led the typically stingy Washington 2-3 zone defense. The Huskies had 12 steals as the Buffaloes turned the ball over 19 times, marking the 18th consecutive game in which Washington has forced double-digit turnovers.
Thybulle moved into second place on the Pac-12 list for career steals with 301. He is within range of the record of 321, held by former Oregon State guard Gary Payton.
Washington's Jaylen Nowell scored 12 points, and David Crisp added 10.
Colorado forward Tyler Bey had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to go with six turnovers. D'Shawn Schwartz scored 10 points.
Washington led by eight at halftime and took control by starting the second half on a 16-4 run, capped when Thybulle blocked a shot from behind and then converted a fast-break layup for a 51-33 lead with 15:07 left.
Washington was still leading by 18 at the midpoint of the half before Colorado went on a 9-0 run, with Bey scoring six points, to cut the deficit to 59-50 with 7:09 to go. The Buffaloes then committed four turnovers and missed seven shots while going scoreless for 5 minutes, 45 seconds.
The Huskies improved to 14-0 at home, including 7-0 in conference play.
Washington scored the final five points of the first half -- including the first career 3-pointer for freshman guard Jamal Bey (Tyler's cousin) -- to take a 35-27 lead at the break. Colorado had a 24-14 rebounding edge, but Washington offset that with six 3-pointers and a plus-six advantage in turnovers.
