Wayne Blackshear, Terry Rozier and Russ Smith added 11 points apiece for Louisville (10-1). Four players collected at least eight rebounds as the Cardinals owned a 51-30 advantage on the boards, including 20-10 on the offensive end.

Jarmar Gulley scored 14 points to lead Missouri State (8-2). Marcus Marshall was the next-highest scorer for the Bears, contributing eight points.

Louisville snatched the lead for good with a 16-0 run that ballooned its advantage to 19-4 with more than 11 minutes still remaining in the opening half. Eight players for Louisville had at least two field goals in the opening 20 minutes as the Cardinals stretched their lead to 47-24 at the break.

Blackshear sank a 3-pointer to start the second half and the Cardinals went into cruise control from there. Mangok Mathiang finished with a team-high nine rebounds for Louisville, with six coming on the offensive glass.
