Kent State 74, Nebraska 60: Chris Evans collected a team-high 19 points and Darren Goodson chipped in 16 as the visiting Golden Flashes handed the Cornhuskers their first loss of the season.
Evans was a blistering 8-of-9 from the field and Goodson went 8-for-10 for Kent State (4-2), which was playing its first game away from home.
Dylan Talley shot 10-of-21 from the field for a game-high 27 points for Nebraska (4-1), which was undone by its porous 3-point shooting. After going 10-for-19 versus Tulane on Wednesday, the Cornhuskers shot 3-of-19 from beyond the arc against Kent State.
Following a lackluster first half, the Golden Flashes began the second on a 9-2 run to seize a 41-35 lead. Evans spurred the run with a jumper and three free throws.
Talley was able to trim the deficit to 54-51, but Kent State went on a 12-2 run to essentially seal the victory.
