Hawks 95, Magic 88: Paul Millsap drained four 3-pointers in the first quarter en route to a team-high 20 points as Atlanta held off visiting Orlando for its third straight victory.

Al Horford contributed 17 points, 13 rebounds and four assists while Jeff Teague also scored 17 – all in the second half – and dished out seven assists for the Hawks. DeMarre Carroll added 15 points and eight rebounds for Atlanta, which made 14-of-31 from behind the 3-point arc.

Nikola Vucevic led the way with 21 points and 15 boards while Victor Oladipo scored 19 and added six assists for the Magic, who finished with 19 turnovers. Tobias Harris chipped in with 15 points and Channing Frye scored 10 for Orlando, which held its eighth straight opponent to fewer than 100 points.

Millsap made three 3-pointers as the Hawks took an early 19-3 lead, but the Magic scored 18 of the final 24 – eight by Harris – of the second quarter to take a 45-42 lead at intermission. Dennis Schroder and Carroll each made a 3-pointer to start the burst as Atlanta scored 10 of the last 12 in the third quarter for a 76-67 edge.

Orlando pulled within five before Teague drove down the lane for two and Kent Bazemore drained a corner 3-pointer to push the lead to 83-73 with 5:56 to go. The Magic closed within three twice and Teague answered with two free throws and a floater to push the lead back to five before Horford’s dunk with 19.4 seconds left made it 93-86 to seal it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Hawks made at least 10 from 3-point range for the 35th time this season, tying the team record set in 2013-14. … Magic F Aaron Gordon (ankle) and G Evan Fournier (hip) were held out of the lineup. … Millsap moved over the 9,000-point mark in his career with 9,003.
