Mavericks 103, Warriors 99: Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points to lead six Dallas players in double figures as the Mavericks held off visiting Golden State.
Jae Crowder and Jose Calderon added 12 points apiece for the Mavericks, who had lost two straight following a four-game winning streak. DeJuan Blair tallied 11 points and nine rebounds off the bench and Shawn Marion and Samuel Dalembert added 11 points apiece for Dallas.
Stephen Curry went 6-of-10 from 3-point range en route to 29 points and dished out eight assists to lead the Warriors, who have dropped four of five. David Lee had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Klay Thompson added 20 points and 10 boards for Golden State.
The Mavericks led by eight in the first quarter and stretched it as wide as 17 in the second before settling for a 55-46 halftime lead. Curry's 3-pointer narrowed the gap to 59-55 with just over eight minutes left in the third, but the Warriors couldn't get any closer.
Golden State was within 75-71 with a minute left in the period, but Dallas reeled off seven straight points to close the quarter. The Warriors stormed back once more, trimming a 99-82 deficit to four with a 13-0 spurt and again pulling within four with 1:14 left, but Nowitzki knocked down a jumper to stem the momentum.
Dallas leading scorer Monta Ellis, who played his first 6 1/2 NBA seasons for Golden State, was limited to a season-low four points on 2-of-16 shooting. He had not scored fewer than 18 points this season.
